Influenced by a life-changing event, my interest in Resilience stems back to 2006 when I implemented a programme of Energy Management within Sony. This began my personal journey to discover what routines and regular practices I needed to put in place to build and maintain my energy in a high-pressure environment.
WHAT’S RESILIENCE GOT TO DO WITH PERFORMANCE?
Over the past few years I’ve become increasingly puzzled by how the corporate world says on the one hand how important people are yet it is largely ignoring a real human problem at the heart of many of our businesses. How is it that when business success in today’s world relies more than ever on people bringing energy and motivation to work, all too often our working environment and the practices and norms of our corporate cultures make us feel overwhelmed, exhausted, negative and drained?
Resilience has become a buzzword that’s often associated with the organisational Well-Being agenda. For me, it has more to do with Peak Performance. How can anyone do a good job over a sustained period if they are continually tired, stressed, distracted and negative?
My Peak Performance and Resilience Workshops are designed to increase your understanding of the factors that affect peak shape and identify which ‘muscles’ of Resilience you would personally benefit from strengthening.
You will discover new ways to build productive habits into your life to boost your and your team’s performance. Sessions are highly practical, underpinned by research and theory from sources such as Positive Psychology and Neuroscience.
